This was one of those classic slow motion moments, I was too far away to get the shot of the bike helmet rolling slowly into the water, but managed to get closer in time for "the rescue".
So what I learned this week was
*Just take the shot, at least you have a chance of getting it, if you wait for it to be perfect, it'll never happen.
* I missed some good shots this week because I was too scared to approach people, I really need to get over the fear of people. And when I do get brave and ask I meet some wonderful people, so even I don't know what I'm so worried about.
* People are unpredictable, I don't need to go to the city to catch interesting moments, anywhere there are people there are bound to be interesting moments.

Good storytelling qualities here.. journalistic :)
Brilliant moment to capture! Agree with all of your sentiments to re fear, bravery and the ability to approach people...
I'm scared of people too. We'll see whether I'm able to change.
Heh heh, good catch (both you and the helmet guy!). I also know what you mean about taking strangers' pictures. Wish I could do it, but so far, I can't. Keep trying because if there's hope for anyone, I think it's you.
This is indeed a fun shot. I really like what you said in your post. Your courage inspires me. I hope I can give it a try someday!
this is going to be a great set of images. people are fun subjects... shoot first, ask questions later :-)
Ha! That would have been cool to have on video!
